British Embassy marks the anniversary of the London 2012 Olympics

On 5 October, the British Embassy, in partnership with the Bahrain Olympic Committee, organised a charity walk for both able-bodied and disabled children to mark the anniversary of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The event was attended by the British Ambassador Iain Lindsay OBE and the President of Bahrain Olympic Committee His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Olympics athletes as well as representatives of disability NGOs and the sports community.

The British Ambassador, Iain Lindsay, spoke to participants about the importance of the Olympics legacy in promoting the rights of people with special needs and connecting them with the inspirational power of the games.
