The British Embassy Banjul sends its congratulations to Mrs Sally Reader who has been awarded a British Empire Medal (BEM) by Her Majesty The Queen ‘For Services to Education in The Gambia’.

Mrs Reader set up the charity ‘Friends of Gambian Schools’ (Frogs) and has raised over £124,000 for Gambian schools.

Mrs Anne McMath was another recipient of a BEM medal, also for ‘Services to Education in The Gambia’ in the recent 2014 New Years Honors List and the British Embassy Banjul would like to congratulate them both for their hard work and dedication to improving the education of numerous Gambian school children.
