The British Embassy in Caracas and the Chevening Secretariat are pleased to announce that the application process for the 2017/2018 Chevening Scholarships is now open.
The Chevening Scholarships were created by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1983. The programme offers financial support to study for a master’s degree in the United Kingdom to young professionals with demonstrable leadership potential and strong academic credentials.
Around 46.000 alumni from over 160 countries have benefited from this international cooperation scheme, one of the most important of the British Government.
In the case of Venezuela, almost 400 professionals have been awarded with Chevening Scholarships. During the 2015/2016 academic period, ten Venezuelans benefited from the programme and joined this influential global network of future leaders.
For the 2017/2018 academic period, a total of 1.500 Chevening Scholarships will be awarded globally. This represents a significant investment from the UK Government to develop the next cohort of global leaders.
The deadline to submit applications is 8 November 2016. If interested, please visit: http://www.chevening.org/apply
