Images of analysts from our first week of blogs

One week into Analysis in Government Month 2021 and there’s been lots going on. Colleagues have been engaging and connections across professions and departments, taking part in events, sharing their stories and finding out about the exclusive opportunities available to members of the Analysis Function.

Here are some of the highlights of Week 1:

We premiered an exclusive Interview with Professor Sir Ian Diamond.

Professor Sir Ian Diamond led a chair of panellists in a fascinating discussion about the Analysis Function, with some great questions from the audience. Over 300 people joined the event, filling our virtual conference room to capacity.

More than 400 colleagues also dialled into our Focus on Analysis using Census Data and Collaboration events.

We posted five new blogs from government analysts working across the Civil Service:

  1. Five things you didn’t know about the Analysis Function
  2. Five things you didn’t know about how we ensure you can trust statistics
  3. Five things you didn’t know about working in the Geography profession
  4. Five things you didn’t know about working as a government analyst
  5. Five things you didn’t know about decarbonising the UK

Loads of you engaged with us on Twitter and we achieved more than 53,000 Twitter impressions. Remember to follow us at @gov_analysis to join in the conversation or start a new one.
