Current role holder: Colin Clark MP

Colin Clark MP was appointed Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Scotland Office and Government Whip on 27 July 2019.

Colin Clark is a self-made businessman who has spent 30 years in the agri-food sector.

He attended Turriff Academy, a local comprehensive, and studied at Heriot-Watt University. He owned his first company in 1994, supplying major supermarkets with pre-packed vegetables.

After selling the business in 2005, he returned to his family farm in Aberdeenshire.

He was first elected to Westminster in 2017, representing the constituency of Gordon, taking in a large part of Aberdeen City and rural Aberdeenshire.

He has been a Parliamentary Private Secretary at the Department for Work and Pensions and served on the Environmental Audit Committee and the Treasury Committee.

Since entering parliament he has been a passionate advocate for agriculture, the oil & gas sector and the role they can play in protecting the climate.

He has several business interests where he has non-executive involvement.
