UK Advisory Forum on Ageing

The UKAFA aims to improve the independence, health and wellbeing of older people.

Role of the group

The UKAFA looks at the opportunities and challenges of an ageing society. It ensures that the views of older people are heard and, importantly, responded to. It gives older people a direct line to government to comment on new policy ideas, services, legislation and other areas they feel the government should deal with.

Membership

The UKAFA membership is made up of representatives from organisations that work with and for older people, regional representatives from older people groups, devolved nations and government offices, and older people themselves.
