The English Law Promotion Panel supports the government’s mission to drive economic growth and strengthen the UK’s global competitiveness, as set out in the UK’s modern Industrial Strategy.
Mission
Legal services are a vital part of the UK’s economy, and English law is a globally recognised asset that underpins international trade and investment.
Promoting English law internationally supports the growth of the legal services sector and reinforces the UK’s reputation as a trusted legal hub grounded in the rule of law.
The English Law Promotion Panel (the Panel) is established to support the government’s mission to drive economic growth and strengthen the UK’s global competitiveness, as set out in the UK’s modern Industrial Strategy.
Membership
The Panel is chaired by Rt Hon David Lammy MP, Deputy Prime Minister, and Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice. Rt Hon Sarah Sackman KC MP, Minister for Courts and Legal Services, is the Panel’s Vice-Chair.
