Request an accessible format.
If you use assistive technology (such as a screen reader) and need a version of this document in a more accessible format, please email buildingheat@energysecurity.gov.uk. Please tell us what format you need. It will help us if you say what assistive technology you use.

The role and membership of this group will evolve as the policy framework continues to develop.

Currently the off grid market in rural areas is dominated by heating oil, and so one of government’s first goals for this group is to work with the oil industry to develop the ways of creating growth and opportunity as we transition towards lower carbon forms of heating.

Share views

To ensure all members of the off grid community have a voice, including representatives of all fuels, technologies, and of course consumers, we encourage interested parties to share their own views on the matters discussed by the contact group, by emailing us at buildingheat@energysecurity.gov.uk.
