Legal Support Advisory Group

The Legal Support Advisory Group exists to advise and assist the Ministry of Justice in its aim to support legal policy.

The Legal Support Advisory Group (LSAG) ensures the Ministry of Justice continues to have open communication with sector experts to enable the implantation of pilots and projects outlined in the Legal Support Action Plan.

It is the central hub for stakeholder engagement for Legal Support Policy, giving external expertise, advice and steer.

The advisory group is made up of academics, practitioners and representatives from the advice, tech and not for profit sectors. The Group meets quarterly and is chaired by the Ministry of Justice Director of Access to Justice Policy.

Membership

We intend for the membership of the group to remain flexible, continuously reviewing it to ensure the efficacy of the group. Representatives from other specific relevant parties are also invited on an ad hoc basis, based on the topic of the meeting, to ensure the most relevant expertise is present.
