Defence Debriefing Team (DDT)

Defence Debriefing Team is an organisation which works on behalf of the Ministry of Defence to collect information which may help inform foreign travel, risks and concerns.

DDT conduct debriefs with voluntary subjects either at a neutral location such as a restaurant or café, or alternatively, they can offer to conduct the debrief at the subjects local police station.

The information provided may help others wishing to travel abroad.

How can you help

If you have been to a foreign country then it is likely that DDT will want to come and speak to you, or speak to you over the telephone if preferred.

DDT will usually need between 1 to 4 hours of your time to ask you questions about your trip which may help inform other UK nationals travelling abroad, however, they are more than flexible to come and speak to you at a time that suits you, for a time period that suits you.
