Consultation description

The Government is seeking views on its proposal for the dates on which the following steps occur:

  • The bringing into effect of Section H15 of the Smart Energy Code (SEC) relating to DCC Gateway Connections (which, subject to completion of the Parliamentary process, will be incorporated into the SEC by 12 January 2015 but only effective from a date to be designated by the Secretary of State); and

  • The designation of the DCC Gateway Connection Code of Connection as a subsidiary document of the SEC (subject to the procedure for document development being completed).

Subject to the completion of the Parliamentary process and of the procedure for document development, the Government proposes that the date to be designated for the purposes of both of the above will be 19 January 2015 or if necessary such later date as falls within the period from 20 January to 16 February 2015 (inclusive).
