Detail of outcome

This document sets out the government’s conclusions following responses to the consultation in November 2012 . The consultation considered the proposed rights and obligations to be contained in the Smart Energy Code (SEC).

This response also sets out the updated draft legal text that will constitute stage 1 of the SEC.

There are additional specific questions to which readers are invited to respond relating to: 1) the Data and Communications Company (DCC’s) provision of elective communications services and 2) the liability arrangements related to physical damage, confidentiality, and intellectual property. This consultation closes on 27 May 2013.
