Detail of outcome
The SSRO received responses from industry, government and defence consultants during the six-week consultation, providing us with constructive feedback. The SSRO was pleased that the feedback broadly endorsed the principles behind the methodology and the upcoming compliance report. The final published methodology document reflects appropriate suggested amendments.
This consultation ran from
The SSRO has launched a consultation on the methodology behind its annual Compliance Report.
The Framework Document between the SSRO and the Ministry of Defence (MOD) states that the SSRO will “publish a report on an annual basis that summarises compliance by the MOD and single suppliers to the provisions of the DRA and SSPRs. This report will be publically available”.
The purpose of the Compliance Report is to be an effective tool to monitor and encourage compliance with the single source procurement regime. It is also key to the SSRO’s objective of a transparent and accessible regulatory framework.
The SSRO has created a methodology to measure contractor and MOD compliance from which data and ratings will be produced.
The SSRO will carry out compliance assessments throughout the year, and publish these at least annually in its Compliance Report in January each year. The SSRO may also decide to publish its assessments each quarter during the year. The first Compliance Report will be published in January 2016.
This is a public consultation. It is open to anyone with an interest in single source defence procurement. Please respond by 25 August 2015.
