Public attitudes to trade tracker

This series brings together all documents relating to DIT’s public attitudes to trade tracker (PATT).

This survey collects data on public attitudes towards trade and government trade policy.

The research looks at:

  • how much people know about international trade
  • what people think free trade is
  • how much support there is for free trade agreements (FTAs)
  • what people think the impacts of FTAs will be
  • what people would like to prioritise in future trade deals

The survey runs twice a year and data is collected through a combination of face-to-face and online interviews with approximately 2,400 individuals in the UK.
