£18 million to fund transport projects across Nottingham
£18 million from the Levelling Up Fund is being invested in Nottingham. The funding will support three projects focused on streets and neighbourhoods across the city.
Streets for people
This area of funding will focus on priorities identified by local people; to make streets more accessible, active travel easier and streets safer.
Greener Streets
This area of funding will expand the city’s electric vehicle charging network and install LED lighting across the city.
Schools Streets
£1.5 million will fund the Schools Streets programme that encourages healthy and sustainable ways of getting to school
Councillor Audra Wynter said:
I’m delighted that Nottingham City Council is delivering these ambitious, transformative projects to make our city’s neighbourhoods and streets safer, greener, better places to live, now and into the future.
