In Dundee, £14.4 million from the Levelling Up Fund has provisionally been allocated to redevelop a dated multi-storey car park into a sustainable transport hub.

Sustainable transport facility

The Bell Street Green Transport Hub will help to deliver a city centre where people want to live, work and socialise. The shell of the building will remain the same, but the new facility created inside will include:

  • enhanced links to the city centre through an upgraded underpass
  • a large parking area for accessible electric vehicles
  • electric vehicle chargers
  • an information point for users
  • large scale cycle storage
  • car club bays
  • e-bike hire

Connecting communities to Dundee city centre

The new hub will help connect remote communities in Dundee to their city centre that includes:

  • an award-winning waterfront development
  • leisure and culture offerings
  • employment opportunities

A future proofed facility

Charging for electric vehicles and e-bikes will be installed and powered by renewable energy sources.
