Wine produced in GB and exported to the EU, or moved from GB to NI, must be tested by an approved laboratory. The laboratory provides analysis reports for each variety of wine produced.
This guidance provides a list of the approved laboratories that can provide the analysis reports the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) needs before issuing a VI-1 document. A pro-forma VI-1 document is required to export or move wine that’s not produced in GB from GB to the EU or NI.
