Initiating a circumvention investigation concerning Anti-Dumping Duty on ceramic tableware and kitchenware, originating in China and making certain imports subject to registration.
The Commission is initiating an investigation, by implementing Regulation 2019/464, OJ ref. L80, concerning circumvention of Anti-Dumping Duty through the channelling of ceramic tableware and kitchenware through Chinese producers that are subject to lower duty rates.
Customs authorities will make imports of the products, declared to the TARIC additional codes listed in Annex 1 below, subject to registration for a period of 9 months.
This regulation takes effect from 23 March 2019.
The products are currently classified within the following commodity codes:
- 6911 1000 90
- 6912 0021 11
- 6912 0021 91
- 6912 0023 10
- 6912 0025 10
- 6912 0029 10
At the end of the investigation higher Anti-Dumping Duty rates may be applied retrospectively to relevant goods imported during the nine month registration period.
