British Hallmarking Council: corporate statements
Corporate statements of the British Hallmarking Council (BHC) reviewing our achievements and aims.
Each year the British Hallmarking Council (BHC) produces a corporate statement in agreement with its sponsor body the Office for Product and Safety Standards (OPSS) which is part of the Department for Business and Trade (DBT), the successor department to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).
The corporate statements set out:
- the previous year’s objectives and the extent to which they have been met
- the BHC’s objectives for the current year
- communications with the sponsor body
Corporate statements should be read in conjunction with the framework document which sets out:
- duties and powers
- finance and membership of the BHC
- responsibilities of the Chair, Accounting Officer and Secretary
