G.R.Ward & Co. has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the Ferruginous Sandstone and Ironstone Marl from a seepage fed catchpit in Frieston, Caythorpe, Lincolnshire at National Grid Reference SK 94200 47677.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 30 cubic metres an hour
- 720 cubic metres a day
- 85,000 cubic metres a year
- at an instantaneous rate not exceeding 9 litres per second
- between 01 November and 30 April inclusive in each year.
The water will be used for filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation.
