This annex relates to the introductory chapter of Maximising Resources, Minimising Waste.

Table 1: Estimated waste arisings, multiple sources

This table explains the choices made on priority products and the relative significance of these product groups in waste management and carbon terms.

Arisings estimates are based on waste that is identifiable as construction waste (by European Waste Catalogue code) and uses data from the EA and data from the Mineral Products association.
It is not possible to distinguish between household sources (such as DIY waste) and non-household sources as the data will capture both.

Arisings estimate is food waste from: UK households, hospitality & food service, food manufacture, retail and wholesale sectors.
