Thomas Cook employees: how to make a change to your online application

Published 25 September 2019

Once you receive your formal letter of redundancy, you can apply online for money you’re owed by Thomas Cook.

Please do not start your online application until you have received your formal letter of redundancy. This will include the CN number, which will end with the numbers ‘61’

You cannot make changes yourself to your online application once you have submitted it.

1. Making changes to your personal details

Please email redundancypaymentsonline@insolvency.gov.uk if you need to make changes to your:

  • holiday pay
  • name
  • date of birth
  • National Insurance number
  • address
  • phone number
  • email
  • bank details

Please include your full name and LN reference number in your email. You will have received your individual claim reference beginning LN after you submitted your claim online.

Enter ‘THOMAS COOK’ in the subject line of your email.

2. Making changes to what you are owed

Please contact the Special Managers if you need to make changes to anything else. Contact details for them can be found in your redundancy letter.

3. Why you should contact the Special Managers and what they can do

The Special Managers cannot change the information you included on your application. But, they can look at what they told us you are owed.

We use a combination of information from the Special Managers and from your application to pay your claim.

If the information the Special Managers submitted to us is correct, you do not need to worry about making changes to your application. We’ll use the information they submitted to pay you the correct amount.

If the information the Special Managers submitted to us is wrong, they should update their records and send us a new figure for what you are owed.

You do not need to worry about also making changes to your application. We’ll use the updated information from the Special Managers to pay you the correct amount.

4. Explaining your payment

We make separate payments for different parts of your claim, such as redundancy pay, holiday pay and arrears of pay.

We will send you a letter each time we make a payment. This means you may get several different letters from us.

There are also caps on what we can pay you for each type of claim. This means we may not be able to pay you everything you are owed by Thomas Cook.
