Investigation into items produced by Jinan Meide Casting Co. Ltd (Anti-Dumping Duty 2373)

This measure amends and replaces Anti-Dumping Duty 2372.

The re-opening the anti-dumping investigation on imports of certain threaded tube or pipe cast fittings of malleable cast iron, originating in the People’s Republic of China and produced by Jinan Meide Casting Co. Ltd - making these imports subject to registration.

Following the court judgement in case T-650/17 the Commission has announced in Regulation 2019/1146 Official Journal ref L166 and by notice of Official Journal reference C403 dated 29 November 2019, the re-opening of the anti-dumping investigation concerning threaded tube or pipe cast fittings of malleable cast iron limited to those produced by Jinan Meide Casting Co. Ltd (additional code B336) in order to correct the irregularity found by the court.

Customs authorities will register imports from Jinan Meide Casting Co. Ltd for a period of 9 months, from 30 November 2019.

Registration allows the Commission to backdate any Anti-Dumping Duty, established at the end of the investigation, to the start of the registration period if appropriate.

Customs authorities will wait for the outcome of this investigation before considering any claims made for repayment and remission concerning imports from Jinan Meide Casting Co. Ltd.

The products concerned are classified within the commodity code 7307 1910 10.
