Glass fibre fabrics from China and Egypt (anti-dumping duty 2384)

Overview

The Commission announced in regulation 2020/44, Official Journal ref. L16 the registration, by customs authorities, of imports of fabrics of woven or stitched or woven and stitched continuous filament glass fibre rovings or yarns, with or without other elements, originating in the People’s Republic of China and Egypt.

The registration takes effect from 22 January 2020 and will expire in 9 months.

Registration allows the Commission to apply backdated duties at the end of the investigation to imports during the registration period (if certain conditions are met).

Affected TARIC codes

The goods affected currently fall within TARIC codes:

  • 7019 3900 80
  • 7019 4000 80
  • 7019 5900 80
  • 7019 9000 80

Products not affected

Products that excluded are:

  • products impregnated or pre-pregnated (pre-preg)
  • open mesh fabrics with cells with a size of more than 1.8 mm in both length and width and weighing more than 35g/m²
