Digital Skills for Defence (DS4D)
Digital Skills for Defence is a change programme to transform digital skills across the Ministry of Defence leadership, digital professionals and whole workforce.
The programme vision is to enable our people to deliver safety, security and prosperity by enhancing the digital skills and mindset they need to succeed, now and tomorrow.
Outcomes
Digital Skills for Defence will deliver:
Access to digital learning: Our people have access to best in class, appropriate and personalised digital learning.
Digital culture: Our people are encouraged and incentivised to develop and exploit digital skills by our leadership, and by the context they operate in, where investment in digital learning is privileged.
Digital skills building: Our people build the world-class digital skills they need to do their roles effectively.
Workforce digital readiness: Our people have the right digital skills to enable their deployment at pace to meet ever-changing demands.
Digital reputation: Defence is recognised as a digital leader by employees, wider industry, allies and adversaries.
Role
Digital Skills for Defence aims to equip our people with the right digital skills and cultivate a digital growth mindset to drive and accelerate digital improvement. This will result in a continuously developing and adaptable workforce ready to meet the demands of the digital age.
