Prof. Chris Woodruff from the University of Warwick, leads a research project, supported by the DFID-ESRC Growth Research Programme (DEGRP), on the role of mid-level managers, particularly women, in supporting increased productivity in the Bangladeshi garment sector. Here he discusses his research findings and the role the garment sector could play in enhancing economic growth in Bangladesh.
