Hazard
The product is inadequately earthed and does not make the consumer aware in the instructions. If the product was to have a fault, there would be no earthing to stop it from becoming live, and without the consumer knowing, they could receive an electric shock when touching metal parts. The instructions supplied with this product were inadequate. They did not contain adequate safety information and details to ensure the correct and safe installation use of the product.
The product had not been correctly fitted with a standard plug, as defined by the Plugs and Socket Regulations 1994. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border.
