Hazard
The product presents a risk of electric shock as there is insufficient insulation to protect the user from electric shock, which can cause accessible parts to become live over time and under fault conditions. If a consumer were to touch a metal part, they could receive an electric shock.
The product was also missing required marking, labelling and documentation and was supplied with an unsafe and noncompliant clover-shaped plug.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
Corrective action
OPSS are requiring the withdrawal of the product from the market.
