Details

Accompanying data tables for ‘Alcohol and late night refreshment licensing, England and Wales, 31 March 2016’.

Table 14 of the tables and table 11 of the supplementary tables have been updated after it was found that the initial publication on 29 September 2016 contained a significant over-reporting by one licensing authority in relation to the number of appeals against the licence review decision.

As a result, statisticians in the Chief Statistician’s Unit have now reviewed their data collection processes to help prevent similar situations from occurring in future publications.

The data tables contain totals for England and Wales and the supplementary data tables contain figures at licensing authority level.
