Details

New rules for Housing Benefit were introduced in April 2013 for working-age people living in social housing. Some claimants will have their Housing Benefit reduced as a result, and will have to make up the shortfall themselves.

This factsheet explains the effect that moving into work or increasing hours will have on your Housing Benefit. It also includes links to information on other financial incentives to help you back into work.
