KPMG LLP study of local bus markets in England outside of London. The report looks at the:

  • condition of the current bus market in England outside London
  • current legislative tools available
  • the issues that should be considered by authorities looking to improve their local bus services

The purpose of the report is to inform Department for Transport’s (DfT) policy development processes.

DfT engaged KPMG LLP to undertake this study. The KPMG report is an independent piece of analysis, informed by stakeholder participation. It does not make any policy recommendations or speculate on government’s future policy choices.
