This command paper sets out the government’s response to the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee’s third report of session 2017 to 2019, ‘Genomics and genome editing in the NHS’.

The response shows how the government is working in partnership to make sure the UK continues to realise the full potential of genomics for patient and public benefit.

Genomics is the study of a person’s entire DNA sequence. It has the potential to transform medical care and improve patient outcomes across the world and in the NHS.
