Details
The letter from the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, RT Hon Grant Shapps MP, to National Grid Electricity System Operator (ESO) sets out the parameters, including the volume of capacity to be secured and de-rating factors for interconnectors, for the T-1 auction for 2024 to 2025 and the T-4 auction for 2027 to 2028.
The annex provides full details of auction parameters and the interconnector de-rating factors.
In line with the annual Capacity Market process, the parameters for the 2 auctions may be updated following pre-qualification, and will be confirmed before the auctions are held in early 2024.
