Details

You must comply with the conditions of this licence if you possess a dead beaver (Castor fiber) and need to move it for post-mortem testing. This licence covers dead beavers and parts of a dead beaver.

You do not need to apply for this licence or report your actions, but you must comply with the licence terms and conditions.

What to do if you find a dead beaver

Do not attempt to handle a dead beaver.

Call the Natural England Enquiry Service on 0300 060 3900 if you find a dead beaver. They will arrange someone to collect the beaver and send it to the Zoological Society of London.
