Claire Bailey
Biography
Claire Bailey graduated from University of Wales, School of Nursing, Cardiff in 1991 and completed specialist training at Kings College London, the University of East Anglia and St George’s University of London.
Following an early career in plastic surgery and reconstruction Claire has worked as a clinical nurse specialist (CNS) in breast screening and breast care since 2000. She is currently the lead CNS for breast screening for the South West London Breast Screening Service based at St George’s University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
As well as her clinical practice Claire is involved in quality assurance and governance and has been the professional advisor for nursing for the London screening quality assurance service (SQAS) for breast screening since 2015. She has also been a member of the national breast screening nurse specialist clinical professional group for PHE since 2015 and became group chair in 2019.
