Andrew Selous

Biography

Andrew served as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, Minister for Prisons, Probation and Rehabilitation at the Ministry of Justice from July 2014 until July 2016. He was previously Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions.

Education

He studied Industry and Trade at the London School of Economics, and served as an Officer in the Territorial Army for 12 years.

Career

Andrew was a member of the Work and Pensions Select Committee and became an Opposition Whip in 2004. In 2006 he was appointed as Shadow Work and Pensions Minister. In 2010 he was appointed Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions.

Personal life

Andrew lives in his constituency with his wife and three daughters.
