Our Plant Health Forestry team supports the protection of England’s forests, woods and trees by helping to prevent pests and diseases from arriving on our shores through trade, finding them early if they do arrive and responding appropriately to help to limit their potential harmful effects.
Operational Delivery Team
The Operational Delivery Team delivers services to Forestry Commission customers for Grants* and Regulations**.
Our 3 hubs that cover England are:
- Bucks Horn Oak: mostly covers the east of England
- Bullers Hill: mostly covers the west of England, with dedications across the whole country
- Bristol: covers all of England dealing with all new grants
*Grants include woodland creation grants (EWCO and WCPG), tree health grants, and grants detailed in each Operational Delivery Hub.
**Regulations include felling licences, Environmental Impact Assessments, Habitat Regulations Assessments, alleged illegal felling, Woodland Management Plans, and Plant Health.

Plant Health Forestry
The Plant Health Forestry team supports the protection of forests, woods and trees by helping to prevent pests and diseases from arriving on our shores through trade, finding them early if they do arrive and responding appropriately to help to limit their potential harmful effects. We carry out a range of activities including inspecting regulated wood, wood products and bark material entering, leaving, or moving around Great Britain, monitoring woodland health and responding to tree pest and disease outbreaks.
