Guidance for organisations who may need to report packaging data because they are affected by extended producer responsibility (EPR) for packaging
New regulations apply to all UK organisations that import or supply packaging. The regulations mean that these organisations may be responsible for the costs of dealing with packaging waste. This is called extended producer responsibility (EPR) for packaging.
This collection of guidance is for organisations who may be affected. It explains:
- how to work out whether the new regulations apply to you
- what information you’ll need to collect and submit
- how to submit that information
A separate guidance collection covers existing producer responsibility regulations – you may need to meet both sets of regulations depending on your situation.
