This is a collection page for Defra commercial pipeline data. Originally this was an annual publication (published in August). This is the case for the 2019 and 2020 publications. However, from October 2020 it became a quarterly publication - the first quarterly publication being for quarter 2 2020-21.

Commercial pipelines provide a forward look of potential commercial activity within a department. The information presented is for reference only and reflects the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) anticipated procurement pipeline.

Defra makes no commitment that:

  • the requirements identified in these tables will be procured
  • the annual value of any contract will be as stated
  • the timing of any future procurement exercises will be as stated

The sourcing route for any subsequent procurement has not been determined, for example it could be via frameworks managed by Crown Commercial Services (CCS) or open competitions.

Defra cannot guarantee that these opportunities will be available to all suppliers.
