Abstract

In this final chapter, material from foreign investment surveys and case studies of firms in Egypt, India, South Africa and Vietnam are brought together to analyse the interrelationships between FDI and economic policy. Sections look at: strategy and characteristics of investing firms, the institutional and policy environment, and overall conclusions.
