The product presents a serious risk of electric shock due to poor internal construction, lack of protection from live parts, and poor quality supply cord and internal wiring. The power supply cord was inadequately tightened, allowing it to become loose, and the earthing wire was not connected. The cross-sectional area of the cord was also considered inadequate.
The product requires improvements to markings, labelling and documentation, and does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
