Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as it was found to be inadequately earthed. The clamping means was not adequately secured against accidental loosening and the contact between the screw and the metal plate was minimal. Also, the earth terminal was found to be screwed into insulating material. This inadequate earthing means that under fault conditions, the product could become live at mains voltage and give the user an electric shock. There were also required documentation and markings missing.
The product does not comply with The Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
