Developing Statistical Population Datasets, England and Wales: 2021
The Statistical Population Database (SPD) uses administrative data to create a list of the usually resident population in England and Wales. This release examines our latest methodology (SPDv4) by comparing aggregate data to that of Census 2021. Comparisons are made between age and sex breakdowns, as well as analysis at Local Authority (LA), and Output Areas (OA).
