Social enterprises are businesses that trade to help resolve social or environmental problems and improve communities. Local enterprise partnerships (LEP’s) are partnerships between local authorities and businesses. They decide what the priorities should be for investment in roads, buildings and facilities in their respective area.

This report describes how LEP’s can benefit from working with social enterprises.
