North East

County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust

County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust has been awarded £665,892 to decarbonise the Cardiac Day Unit. Air source heat pumps, solar panels, and an electric boiler will be installed, and the energy efficiency of the Unit will be improved with the installation of air handling units and roof insulation.

Durham County Council

Durham County Council has been awarded £854,573 for three projects to decarbonise Bishop Auckland Town Hall, Cotsford Infant School, Durham Pathways, an adult daycare centre providing therapeutic services for adults with disabilities. Air source heat pumps will be installed in all buildings and solar panels on two sites. A variety of energy efficiency works will be undertaken across the buildings, including the fitting of secondary glazing, dry wall lining, roof insulation, point-of-use hot water heaters and LED lighting.

Gateshead Council

Gateshead Council has been awarded £4,164,509 to install air source heat pumps at Dunston Leisure Centre, Birtley Swimming Centre and Blaydon Leisure Centre. Heating and ventilation controls will also be installed to improve energy efficiency.

NEAT Academy Trust, Newcastle Upon-Tyne

NEAT Academy Trust has been awarded £4,062,807 to decarbonise Benfield Comprehensive school and Benfield Sports Centre. The existing gas-fired boilers will be replaced with air source heat pumps, and solar panels will be installed to generate renewable energy. In addition, the building energy management system will be upgraded, and new LED lighting will be installed.

Newcastle City Council

Newcastle City Council has been awarded £4,198,697 to decarbonise 6 buildings: Newburn Activity Centre, Elswick Pool, Jesmond Pool, Bedeburn Child Respite Care Home, Ryehill Sports Centre and Swan Hunters Recreation Centre. Ryehill Sports Centre will be connected to the nearby Helix Energy Centre and air source heat pumps will be installed in the other 5 buildings. Solar panels will be fitted at Jesmond Pool, Newburn Activity Centre and Elswick Pool. Additionally, a variety of energy efficiency improvements will be undertaken across all sites, including the installation of double glazing, variable speed drives, energy efficiency fans, building energy management systems and the installation of new LED lighting.

North Tyneside Council

North Tyneside Council has been awarded £1,695,308 for 2 projects to decarbonise North Shields Customer First Centre, a multipurpose building which serves as a community library, housing office and a community centre, and the White Swan Centre, which houses Killingworth library, a doctor’s surgery, activity hall, police station and offices. The existing gas-fired boilers in all buildings will be replaced with air source heat pumps. Additionally, the building energy management systems and heating control valves will be upgraded.

Northumbria Police

Northumbria Police has been awarded £391,822 to replace gas-fired boilers with air and water source heat pumps at Byker Police Station, near Newcastle. The building energy management system and air handling unit will be upgraded and double glazing, LED lighting and new lighting controls will be installed to improve the energy efficiency of the site.

Northumbria University, Newcastle

University of Northumbria at Newcastle has been awarded £927,869 to replace end-of-life gas heating boilers at The Wynne Jones Centre and the Grade II listed Durant Hall with air source heat pumps.  Additionally, point-of-use hot water heaters will be installed at Durant Hall.

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust £28,431,899 for two projects to decarbonise Friarage Hospital in Northallerton and The James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough. The existing heating systems in both hospitals will be replaced with air source heat pumps and solar panels will be fitted to provide a source of renewable energy. Additionally, the energy efficiency across the sites will be improved through the installation of double glazing LED lighting and improvements to the heating distribution system.

Sunderland City Council

Sunderland City Council has been awarded £2,070,782 to support the decarbonisation of Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens, Bunny Hill Medical Centre, Leechmere Independent Living Centre and the Evolve Centre, a business centre located on the outskirts of Sunderland. Air source heat pumps will be installed in all buildings and solar panels are to be fitted at Leechmere Independent Living Centre. A variety of energy efficiency upgrade works will also be undertaken, including the installation of heating pipework insulation, heating controls, draught proofing, roof and wall insulation, smart meters, variable speed drives, lighting controls, double glazing, secondary glazing, LED lighting, and a new cooling control system.

Wickersley Partnership Trust, Durham

Wickersley Partnership Trust has been awarded £833,051 to support the decarbonisation of 4 schools: Aston Hall Junior and Infants School, Aston Lodge Primary School, Rawmarsh Community School, and Rawmarsh Sandhill Primary School. The existing heating systems will be replaced with air source heat pumps and solar panels will be installed. Insulation upgrade work will also be undertaken across all sites.

Yorkshire and the Humber

Barnsley College, South Yorkshire

Barnsley College has been awarded £2,236,962 to decarbonise their Church Street Campus, originally opened as the Barnsley Mining and Technical College in 1932. The ageing gas heating systems will be replaced with an air source heat pump, and solar panels will be fitted to produce renewable energy. Energy efficiency measures including dry wall lining, draught proofing, point-of-use hot water heater, roof insulation and double glazing will also be installed.

Bishop Burton College, East Riding of Yorkshire

Bishop Burton College in East Riding has been awarded £395,121 to support the decarbonisation of The Learning Resource and STEM Centre, a building for college and university students. The existing fossil fuel heating systems will be replaced with air source heat pumps and a new building energy management system, as well as LED lighting and double glazing, will be installed to improve the energy efficiency in the building.

Bishop Wheeler Catholic Academy Trust, Knaresborough

Bishop Wheeler Catholic Academy Trust has been awarded £134,048 to replace existing gas boilers with ground source heat pumps at St Mary’s Catholic Primary School in Knaresborough. In addition, double glazing upgrades will also be installed to improve the energy efficiency of the school building.

Bradford College, West Yorkshire

Bradford College has been awarded £2,656,876 to connect the David Hockney building and Advanced Technology Centre to the Bradford heat network. Improvements will also be made to the hot water distribution system and heating pipework.

British Library, Boston Spa

The British Library has been awarded £2,488,795 to decarbonise two of the library’s buildings at their storage facility in Boston Spa, Yorkshire. Air source heat pumps will be installed in both buildings, and solar panels will be fitted on the roof of one of the buildings to produce renewable electricity. High efficiency motors, double glazing and LED lighting will also be installed to improve the overall energy efficiency of both sites.

Church of England Diocese of Leeds

Church of England Diocese of Leeds has been awarded £221,006 to replace gas-fired boilers with air source heat pumps at St Peter’s Church of England Primary School in Burmantofts.

Coast and Vale Learning Trust

Coast and Vale Learning Trust has been awarded £1,978,268 to decarbonise Filey School in North Yorkshire. Ground source heat pumps will be installed along with solar panels. Draught proofing, double glazing and wall and roof insulation will also be installed to improve the energy efficiency of the building.

HM Courts and Tribunals Service

HM Courts and Tribunals Service has been awarded £3,568,440 to connect the Bradford Combined Court Centre and Bradford Magistrates’ Court to a new district heat network. The hot water distribution and heating distribution pipeline will also be upgraded.

Hull City Council

Hull City Council has been awarded £1,518,537 to decarbonise the Grade II listed Western Library, The Streetlife Museum and The Treasury building, which is used as an office space. The Streetlife Museum and The Treasury building will be connected to the existing district heating system and air source heat pumps will be installed in Western Library. Solar panels, point-of-use electric water heaters, LED lighting, building energy management systems and double glazing will also be fitted across the sites.

Humberside Police

Humberside Police has been awarded £2,652,099 to decarbonise the heating systems at Clough Road Police Station and their Priory Road Police Headquarters. Air source heat pumps and an electric boiler will be installed at Priory Road Headquarters and solar panels will be fitted on the roof of the building. An electric boiler will be installed at Clough Road Police Station. Energy efficiency improvements will be made through the installation of cavity wall insulation, smart meters, double glazing, and new LED lighting. The incoming electricity power supply in both buildings will be upgraded.

Impact Education Multi Academy Trust, Huddersfield

Impact Education Multi Academy Trust has been awarded £778,649 to replace the existing end-of-life boilers at Newsome Academy High School in Huddersfield with an air source heat pump and solar panels fitted to generate renewable energy. In addition, new cavity wall insulation will be fitted.

Leeds Beckett University

Leeds Beckett University has been awarded £164,967 to decarbonise Old Broadcasting House in Leeds, a Grade II listed building currently used as an office space by the University but previously home to BBC Yorkshire. End-of-life gas boilers will be replaced with air and water source heat pumps, and energy efficiency upgrades will be installed, including new LED lighting and new ventilation fans.

Leeds City Council

Leeds City Council has been awarded £6,990,889 to decarbonise 11 buildings: Parklands Primary School, Guiseley Primary School, New Bewerley Community School, Morley Victoria Primary School, Brudenell Primary School, Hunslet Carr Primary, Broomfield Specialist Inclusive Learning Centre, West Specialist Inclusive Learning Centre, West Leeds Activity Centre, Bramley Fulfilling Lives Centre in Leeds and York Road Transport depot in Leeds. Air source heat pumps and solar panels will be installed in all buildings. The overall energy efficiency of the sites will be improved through the installation of thermal stores, heating distribution pipework improvements, variable speed drives, flow restrictors, double glazing and building energy management system upgrades.

North East Lincolnshire Council

North East Lincolnshire Council has been awarded £4,766,440 to decarbonise 9 council buildings: Grimsby Leisure Centre, Immingham Swimming Pool, Grimsby Crematorium, Humber Seafood Institute, the Doughty Road maintenance depot, a residential care home and 3 council offices. Air source heat pumps will be installed at most of the sites and solar panels will be fitted on four buildings. Additionally, an electric boiler will be installed at Grimsby Crematorium. An electric heater will be fitted in one of the council offices and a range of energy efficiency improvements will be made across all of the sites, through the installation of smart meters, energy efficient ventilation fans, variable speed drives, loft insulation and upgrades to the ventilation and building energy management systems.

Owlcotes Multi Academy Trust, Leeds

Owlcotes Multi Academy Trust has been awarded £517,267 to decarbonise Pudsey Waterloo Primary School in Leeds. End-of-life gas-fired boilers will be replaced with air source heat pumps. Solar panels will also be installed to provide a source of renewable energy.

Star Multi Academy Trust, North Yorkshire

Star Multi Academy Trust has been awarded £563,139 to decarbonise South Milford Primary School and Appleton Roebuck Primary School. A ground source heat pump will be installed at South Milford Primary School, replacing the end-of-life oil fired boiler and hot water system. At Appleton Roebuck Primary School, an air source heat pump will be installed alongside new electrical cables, radiator upgrades, double glazing and cavity wall insulation.

University of Bradford

University of Bradford has been awarded £6,496,170 to connect eight university buildings to a district heat network, including to the Institute of Cancer Therapeutics building and the Richmond Building Workshop. Other work across all sites includes heating distribution pipework improvements.

University of York

The University of York has been awarded £854,805 to upgrade the heating systems at Barron Scott Court, a student hall of residence. The existing gas boilers will be replaced with an air source heat pump and LED lighting will be installed.

Wakefield Metropolitan District Council

Wakefield Metropolitan District Council has been awarded £3,368,032 to upgrade the Sun Lane Leisure Centre, Upton Primary School and South Parade Primary School. Air source heat pumps will be installed in all buildings and solar panels will be fitted on the roofs of Sun Lane Leisure Centre and South Parade Primary School. LED lighting will also be fitted in both primary schools to improve the energy efficiency of the buildings.  Additionally, double glazing will be installed at Upton Primary School.

Wellspring Academy Trust

Wellspring Academy Trust has been awarded £223,453 to decarbonise The Forest School in Knaresborough. Air source heat pumps will be installed alongside solar panels and new roof insulation.

West Yorkshire Police

West Yorkshire Police has been awarded £992,321 to decarbonise Eccleshill Police Station. Existing gas-fired boilers will be replaced with ground source heat pumps. Solar panels, LED lighting and new lighting controls will also be installed.

North West

Bollington Town Council

Bollington Town Council has been awarded £153,951 to decarbonise Bollington Civic Hall. An air source heat pump will be installed, and the overall energy efficiency of the building will be improved through the installation of roof insulation, LED lighting and a new building energy management system.

Cheshire College South & West

Cheshire College has been awarded £1,108,694 to support the decarbonisation of the main building at their Ellesmere Port campus. Air source heat pumps will be installed to replace a gas boiler and all fluorescent lighting will be replaced with energy efficient LED lighting.

Cheshire East Council

Cheshire East Council has been awarded £1,449,274 to decarbonise Nantwich Library, Knutsford Leisure Centre, Congleton Library and a municipal building. Air source heat pumps and solar panels will be installed across all buildings, while wall and roof insulation, new LED lighting and building energy management systems will be fitted across the sites to improve their energy efficiency.

City of Liverpool College

The City of Liverpool College has been awarded £1,496,181 to replace gas-fired boilers at two of the college’s training locations. Air source heat pumps will be installed in the Arts Centre and 139 Vauxhall Road buildings and solar panels will also be installed at the Arts Centre site.

Congleton Town Council

Congleton Town Council has been awarded £357,683 to decarbonise the Grade II listed Congleton Town Hall in Cheshire. An air source heat pump and solar panels will be installed, while the overall energy efficiency of the Town Hall will be improved through the installation of wall and roof insulation, double glazing, LED lighting and an upgrade to the building energy management system.

Lancaster City Council

Lancaster City Council has been awarded £1,892,021 to support the decarbonisation of Williamson Park, home to the Grade I listed Ashton Memorial and 54 acres of parkland, and The Storey and City Lab, which house office space and venues for the performing arts. Air source heat pumps will be installed in all buildings. Energy efficiency measures including new roof insulation, secondary glazing, variable speed drives installation and upgrades to building energy management systems will be undertaken across all three sites.

Liverpool Hope University

Liverpool Hope University has been awarded £728,102 to upgrade heating systems at the Gerard Manley Hopkins Halls of residence. The gas-fired heating and domestic hot water system will be replaced with air source heat pumps and electric panel heaters.

Liverpool John Moores University

Liverpool John Moores University has been awarded £1,222,434 to replace gas boilers at its John Lennon Art and Design Academy building with air source heat pumps. The building energy management systems will also be upgraded.

Liverpool Joint Catholic and Church of England Academies Trust

The Liverpool Joint Catholic and Church of England Academies Trust has been awarded £807,222 to decarbonise The Academy of St Francis of Assisi. Air source heat pumps will be installed and solar panels fitted to produce renewable energy. The energy efficiency of the building will be improved through the installation of smart meter, draught proofing, heating pipework insulation and loft insulation will all be installed in both schools.

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has been awarded £832,984 to support the decarbonisation of Kent Lodge, a teaching facility at Broadgreen Hospital. The existing gas-fired heating systems will be replaced with air source heat pumps, while wind turbines and solar panels will be installed to provide a source of renewable energy. Loft insulation will also be fitted.

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust has been awarded £18,974,330 to support the decarbonisation of Trafford General Hospital and the main base for South Manchester Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. Air source and water source heat pumps will be installed at both sites and solar panels will be fitted at Trafford General Hospital. In addition, the existing steam calorifier will also be replaced with a plate heat exchanger. Energy efficiency improvements will be made through the installation of cavity wall and loft insulation, building energy management systems upgrades, heating distribution pipework improvements and the installation of energy efficient fans.

National Museums Liverpool

National Museums Liverpool has been awarded £1,200,151 to connect the Museum of Liverpool, The Pilotage Building, Great Western Railway Building and the Edmund Gardner ship to the existing Mersey Heat District heat network. The cooling systems and metering will also be upgraded.

Sea View Trust, Blackpool

The Sea View Trust in Blackpool has been awarded £2,252,786 to decarbonise 5 schools: Devonshire Academy, Anchorsholme Academy, Revoe Learning Academy, Park Community School, and the Ewood Campus of Tor View School. Existing gas heating systems will be replaced with air source heat pumps, and solar panels will also be installed. A range of energy efficiency measures will be fitted across the sites, including heating pipework insulation, draught proofing and loft insulation. In addition, the electrical infrastructure will be upgraded to ensure uninterrupted power supply in the buildings.

Tameside College, Ashton-under-Lyne

Tameside College has been awarded £195,892 to install air source heat pumps at their Clarendon Sixth Form campus. The building energy management system will also be upgraded.

True Learning Partnership, Stockport

True Learning Partnership has been awarded £2,459,518 to support the decarbonisation of Disley Primary School and Poynton High School and Performing Arts College in Stockport. Air Source heat pumps will be installed at both buildings alongside a range of energy efficiency measures, including new heating pipework insulation, smart meters, draught proofing, roof and loft insulation, hot water flow restrictors and double glazing.

University of Liverpool

The University of Liverpool has been £3,405,520 for two projects to decarbonise two buildings at their Leahurst Campus and the student halls of residence at Vine Court. At the Leahurst Campus, air source heat pumps will be installed in the Main Building and at the Small Animal Teaching Hospital, which provides training for veterinarians. Air source heat pumps will also be installed at Vine Court, and will be accompanied by the installation of a new building energy management system to enable the new heat pumps to operate at optimal efficiency

Warrington Borough Council

Warrington Borough Council has been awarded £7,547,766 for two projects to support the decarbonisation of Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub Leisure Centre, and Woolston Neighbourhood Hub, a leisure centre which houses a GP practice, office space, a library, a gym, a swimming pool and other sports facilities. Air source heat pumps will be installed at all sites and solar panel will be fitted at Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub Leisure Centre. Additionally, the energy efficiency of the buildings will be improved through the installation of heating control valves, loft insulation, secondary glazing, LED lighting, building energy management system upgrades.

East Midlands

Archway Learning Trust, Nottingham

Archway Learning Trust has been awarded £1,636,792 to decarbonise Bluecoat Trent Academy and Aspley Academy, both located in Nottingham. Air source heat pumps will be installed at both sites and solar panels will be fitted to produce renewable energy.

Bassetlaw District Council

Bassetlaw District Council has been awarded £3,808,253 for two projects to decarbonise Worksop and Retford leisure centres and 17b Market Place, a multipurpose Victorian building comprising of Bassetlaw District Council, the Citizens Advice Bureau, Nottinghamshire Police, and the Registry Office. Air source heat pumps will be installed across all sites and solar panels fitted at Worksop and Retford leisure centres. The energy efficiency across the sites will be improved though the installation of heating pipework insulation, draught proofing, roof and cavity insulation, heating recovery ventilators, new heating controls, secondary glazing and LED lighting.

De Montfort University, Leicester

De Montfort University has been awarded £237,498 to support the decarbonising of its Campus Centre building, which is home to the University Student’s Union. The existing fossil fuel heating systems will be replaced with air source heat pumps.

Derbyshire Dales District Council

Derbyshire Dales District Council has been awarded £51,380 to replace fossil fuel heating systems at Northwood Depot, home to the council’s fleet of service vehicles. Air source heat pumps and solar panels will be installed, and the energy efficiency of the site will be improved through upgrades to heating pipework insulation, loft insulation and new LED lighting.

East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust

East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust has been awarded £135,552 to support the decarbonisation of The Rosings, an education centre for East Midlands Ambulance Service in Leicester. The existing gas-fired boiler will be replaced with an air source heat pump and the energy efficiency of the building will be improved through additional roof insulation.

Erewash Borough Council

Erewash Borough Council has been awarded £2,263,750 to support the decarbonisation of West Park and Victoria Park leisure centres. Air source heat pumps, solar panels and air handling units will be installed at both locations.

Lincoln College Group

Lincoln College Group has been awarded £1,860,163 to decarbonise Bishops and Cathedral teaching blocks at its site. Air source heat pumps and solar panels will be installed at both buildings. A range of energy efficiency measures will also be fitted across the two sites, including new heating pipework insulation, high efficiency motors, loft and cavity wall insulation, and upgrades to the building energy management systems.

Loughborough University

Loughborough University has been awarded £2,009,860 to decarbonise their Olympic-size swimming pool, which is home to the Loughborough Swimming Performance Programme and a training base for some of the world’s leading swimmers. Air source heat pumps will be installed to replace old gas-fired boilers.

Nottingham College

Nottingham College has been awarded £2,702,540 for two projects to install air source heat pumps at their Highfields campus and to connect their Grade II listed Adams Building to the existing local district energy network. Solar panels will be installed at both sites and the energy efficiency will be improved through the installation of heating pipework insulation, an air handling unit, variable speed drives, time switches and LED lighting.

Nottinghamshire County Council

Nottinghamshire County Council has been awarded £64,042 to replace the existing oil-fired boiler at St Peter’s Church of England Primary School with new air source heat pumps. Additionally, new electric heaters and heating controls will be installed.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue has been awarded £367,569 to replace fossil fuel heating systems at Highfields Fire Station with air source heat pumps.

Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council

Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council has been awarded £3,444,860 to decarbonise Pingles Leisure Centre. The existing fossil fuel heating systems will be replaced with an air source heat pump and water source heat pumps.

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust, Nottingham

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust has been awarded £1,170,000 to decarbonise 4 primary schools and 1 secondary school: St Augustine Webster Catholic Voluntary Academy, St Augustine’s Catholic Primary School, St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, St Norbert’s Catholic Voluntary Academy, and St Peter and St Paul Catholic Voluntary Academy.  Air source heat pumps will be installed on all sites and solar panels fitted at four sites to generate renewable energy.

Rushcliffe Borough Council

Rushcliffe Borough Council has been awarded £132,415 to decarbonise Sir Julien Cahn Pavilion and Gamston Community Hall. Air source heat pumps will be installed at both sites, while loft and external wall insulation and a point-of-use electric heater will be installed at Gamston Community Hall.

The University of Leicester

The University of Leicester has been awarded £119,854 to install air source heat pumps and LED lighting at Gilbert Murray House and Stamford Court, conference venues used by university staff, students, and external visitors.

West Midlands

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has been awarded £7,347,236 to decarbonise Moseley Hall and West Heath Hospitals. Air and water source heat pumps will be installed at the 18th century Grade II listed Molesey Hall hospital, gifted to Birmingham City Council in 1892 by Richard Cadbury of the chocolate making family. Additionally, energy efficiency improvements will be made through new roof insulation on some buildings on the hospital grounds.

At West Heath Hospital, formerly an infectious diseases hospital, air and water source heat pumps, solar panels and roof insulation will be installed.

Birmingham Diocesan Multi-Academy Trust  

Birmingham Diocesan Multi-Academy Trust has been awarded £ 597,726 to install air source heat pumps at Bentley Heath Church of England Primary School, Lady Katherine Leveson Church of England Primary School and Coleshill Church of England Primary School.

Coventry University

Coventry University has been awarded £12,971,394 to connect 11 buildings to Coventry’s low carbon heating network, including the Student Centre, the Engineering and Computing Building, The Hub and the Cycle Works, which provides accommodation for students. In addition, solar panels will be added to the roofs of the Engineering and Computing Building, The Hub teaching space and Elm Bank, a teaching block.

Dudley College of Technology

Dudley College of Technology has been awarded £598,747 to replace the existing gas-fired boilers at their Broadway campus building with an air source heat pump.

Leigh Trust, Birmingham

Leigh Trust has been awarded £1,202,431 to decarbonise Marlborough Primary School. The existing gas boilers will be replaced with an air source heat pump, and roof insulation will be fitted to improve the energy efficiency of the school.

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council has been awarded £3,055,000 to decarbonise two of its largest carbon-emitting sites: Tipton Sports Centre and Tipton Stadium. The existing gas-fired heating systems will be replaced with new air source heat pumps.

Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust

Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust has been awarded £16,200,691 to support the decarbonisation of Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. The existing heating systems will be replaced with air source heat pumps, and solar panels will be installed to produce renewable energy. South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust

South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust has been awarded £ 6,149,168 to support the decarbonisation of 3 hospitals sites: Warwick Hospital, Leamington Spa Hospital and Stratford Hospital. Four buildings at Warwick Hospital will be connected to the onsite heat network, and air source heat pumps will be installed at Leamington Spa and Stratford Hospitals. Solar panels will also be fitted across all sites, and the energy efficiency of the hospitals will be improved through heating pipework insulation, wall and loft insulation and building energy management systems upgrades.

Telford & Wrekin Council

Telford & Wrekin Council has been awarded £1,083,983 to decarbonise Wellington Civic and Leisure Centre. The existing gas boilers will be replaced with air source heat pumps, and cavity wall and roof insulation will be fitted to help improve energy efficiency of the centre.

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust has been awarded £11,400,268 to decarbonise Solihull Hospital. Ageing end-of-life heating systems will be replaced with air source heat pumps alongside new double glazing and a ventilation system.

University of Warwick

The University of Warwick has been awarded £2,241,721 to install an air source heat pump and new double glazing.

University of Wolverhampton

The University of Wolverhampton has been awarded £8,642,958 to decarbonise 6 buildings at their Walsall campus. Air source and water source heat pumps will be installed in all buildings, and solar panels will be fitted on the roof of one of the buildings. A variety of energy efficiency measures will also be installed, including heating pipework insulation, cavity wall insulation, new cooling systems and an upgrade to a building energy management system in one of the buildings.

Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council

Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council has been awarded £558,010 to decarbonise The New Art Gallery Walsall and Bloxwich Digital Access and Incubation Centre, a space for small businesses and local start-ups. Air source heat pumps will be installed across both sites. More efficient hot water taps, variable speed drives and double glazing will also be fitted at The New Art Gallery Walsall.

Warwick District Council

Warwick District Council has been awarded £432,659 to decarbonise Althorpe Enterprise Hub and The Royal Spa Centre, located in Leamington Spa. The existing end-of-life gas boilers in both buildings will be replaced with air source heat pumps, while solar panels will be installed to provide a source of renewable energy. Additionally, roof and cavity wall insulation, heating pipework insulation and LED lighting will be fitted to improve the energy efficiency of both sites.

Worcester City Council

Worcester City Council has been awarded £1,497,237 to decarbonise Astwood Crematorium. The ageing gas cremators will be replaced with a biomass boiler alongside energy efficient fans.

Wychavon District Council

Wychavon District Council has been awarded £2,962,285 to decarbonise Evesham and Pershore leisure centres. The existing fossil fuel heating systems will be replaced with air heat source pumps, and solar panels will be installed on the roof at Pershore Leisure Centre, alongside draught proofing and upgrades to the ventilation system to increase energy efficiency.

East of England

Active Learning Trust, Cambridgeshire

Active Learning Trust has been awarded £ 310,708 to decarbonise Kingsfield Primary School in Cambridgeshire. An air source heat pump will be installed and solar panels fitted to provide a source of renewable energy. Additionally, the heating pipework distribution and building energy management system will be upgraded.

Atlas Multi Academy Trust, Hertfordshire

Atlas Multi Academy Trust in Hertfordshire has been awarded £1,001,727 to decarbonise and improve the energy efficiency at The Adeyfield Academy, Hemel Hempstead. A ground source heat pump will be installed at the main building and solar panels will be fitted on the roof. The energy efficiency of the school will be improved through the installation of heating pipework insulation, cavity wall insulation, double glazing, LED lighting and high efficiency motors. A building energy management system upgrade will also be undertaken.

Cambridgeshire County Council

Cambridgeshire County Council has been awarded £1,831,367 for 3 projects to decarbonise Dry Drayton Primary School, Alderman Payne Primary School, Histon Early Years Centre, The Spinney Primary School, Kettlefields Primary School, 5 community centres, 4 libraries and 2 council office buildings. Air source heat pumps will be installed in all buildings and solar panels will be fitted at 7 sites. A variety of energy efficiency measures will also be installed, including wall, roof and loft insulation, double glazing, and new LED lighting.

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has been awarded £7,329,715 to support the decarbonisation of the Frank Lee leisure centre and three halls of residence at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge. The existing gas-fired steam boiler will be replaced with air source heat pumps and water source heat pumps.

Cranfield University

Cranfield University has been awarded £7,825,344 to connect two large buildings, Martell House and Fedden Flats, to their onsite heat network. The existing boilers in these buildings will also be replaced with ground source heat pumps, and new building energy management systems will be installed.

Danes Educational Trust, Hertfordshire

Danes Educational Trust has been awarded £127,145 to replace end-of-life boilers at St Clement Danes Secondary School and Chancellor’s Secondary School in Hertfordshire with air source heat pumps. In addition, solar panels will be fitted at St Clement Danes Secondary School, and heating pipework insulation and secondary glazing will be fitted at Chancellor’s Secondary School.

Darwin College, University of Cambridge

Darwin College, University of Cambridge has been awarded £190,194 to replace gas boilers with new air source heat pumps at Gwen Raverat House, a 54-bedroom student accommodation block located close to the main college grounds. Energy efficiency improvements will also be made, including the installation of double glazing and loft insulation.

Gonville & Caius College in the University of Cambridge

Gonville & Caius College in the University of Cambridge has been awarded £1,665,250 to decarbonise Gonville Court. The existing cast-iron gas boilers will be replaced with ground source heat pumps, and new double glazing will be fitted to improve the overall energy efficiency of the site.

North Hertfordshire District Council

North Hertfordshire District Council has been awarded £7,743,224 to decarbonise 3 leisure centres: North Herts Leisure Centre, Hitchin Swimming Centre and Royston Leisure Centre. Air source heat pumps and solar panels will be installed at all leisure centres. Additionally, a range of energy efficiency measures will be fitted across all sites, including new heat recovery systems, double glazing, roof and external wall insulation, air handling units, lighting controls, variable speed drives and cooling control systems.

Pembroke College, University of Cambridge

Pembroke College, university of Cambridge has been awarded £726,710 to install air source heat pumps to support the decarbonisation of Rokos Quad, a multiple purpose building used by students. An electrical boiler will also be fitted.

Peterhouse, University of Cambridge

Peterhouse, University of Cambridge has been awarded £565,513 to upgrade the heating systems at Cosin Court, a student accommodation building consisting of 34 flats and maisonettes. Ground source heat pumps will be installed and solar panels will be fitted to produce renewable energy. The energy efficiency of the accommodation will be improved through the installation of dry wall lining, floor and loft insulation, double glazing and an upgrade to the incoming electricity supply power.

Queens’ College Cambridge

Queens’ College Cambridge has been awarded £1,173,412 for two projects to decarbonise 2 student accommodation buildings. Air source heat pumps will be installed at their Owlstone Croft and Erasmus buildings. In addition, wall, roof and floor insulation, double glazing and LED lighting will be installed at both sites to improve their overall energy efficiency.

Sigma Trust, Essex

The Sigma Trust has been awarded £252,914 to install an air source heat pump at Stanway Secondary School.

St. Catharine’s College, Cambridge

St. Catharine’s College, Cambridge has been awarded £166,367 to decarbonise the student accommodation located at 4 Russell Street. The existing central plant room has been designated unsafe and will be relocated and the current central heating system will be replaced with an air source heat pump.

University of Cambridge

The University of Cambridge has been awarded £3,088,388 for two projects to decarbonise the University-owned Donald McIntyre building and the Centre for Mathematical Sciences. The end-of-life gas boilers and domestic hot water systems in both buildings will be replaced with air source heat pumps.  A variety of energy efficiency improvements will also be undertaken including the installation of energy efficient fans, draught proofing, variable speed drives, ventilation controls, and an upgrade to the cooling system in one of the buildings.

South East

Acer Trust, Oxfordshire

Acer Trust has been awarded £1,138,720 to decarbonise Wood Green Secondary School in Oxfordshire. The existing gas-fired boilers will be replaced with an air source heat pump and solar panels fitted to produce renewable energy.

Aletheia Academies Trust, Dartford

Aletheia Academies Trust has been awarded £580,878 to replace old oil-fired boilers with air source heat pumps at the Canterbury Block in Stone St Marys Church of England School.

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has been awarded £2,633,950 to support the decarbonisation of West Berkshire Community Hospital. The existing gas boilers will be replaced with an air source heat pump and solar panels will be fitted to produce renewable energy.

Bosco Catholic Education Trust, Sussex

Bosco Catholic Education Trust in Sussex has been awarded £561,000 replace the end-of-life boilers at St Paul’s Catholic College in Sussex with an air source heat pump and electric boiler. Additionally, solar panels with be fitted on the roof of the main building.

Brighton and Hove City Council

Brighton and Hove City Council has been awarded £120,238 to install low carbon heating and energy efficiency measures at Peter Gladwin Primary School. The end-of-life gas boilers will be replaced with air source heat pumps and LED lighting will be fitted.

Buckinghamshire College Group

Buckinghamshire College Group has been awarded £1,840,586 to decarbonise their Aylesbury campus. The existing gas boilers will be replaced with air and water source heat pumps and solar panels will be installed to provide a source of renewable energy. In addition, new LED lighting will be installed.

Diocese of Chichester

The Diocese of Chichester has been awarded £534,491 to decarbonise Ashurst Church of England Primary School, Bury Church of England Primary School and St Mary’s Church of England Primary School. Ageing gas boilers will be replaced with both air source and ground source heat pumps. Additionally, cavity and roof insulation will be fitted to improve energy efficiency across the sites.

Diocese of Portsmouth and Winchester

Diocese of Portsmouth and Winchester has been awarded £184,521 to upgrade the main teaching block at Alverstoke Church of England Junior School in Hampshire. The existing heating system will be replaced with an air source heat pump and a new hot water heating system. The energy efficiency of the building will be improved through ceiling and cavity wall insulation.

East Sussex County Council

East Sussex County Council has been awarded £454,258 to decarbonise Pashley Down Infant School and Motcombe Community School. Air source heat pumps and heat recovery systems will be installed at both schools, and cavity wall insulation will be fitted at Pashley Down Infant School.

East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust

East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust has been awarded £1,247,446 to support the decarbonisation of Eastbourne District General Hospital. The Department of Psychiatry and the Endoscopy buildings will be connected to an existing onsite heat network, while double glazing installed at the Department of Psychiatry building to improve its energy efficiency.

Hook Norton Church of England Primary School, Banbury

Hook Norton Church of England Primary School in Banbury has been awarded £196,348 to replace their existing gas boilers with air source heat pumps.

Kent Catholic Schools’ Partnership

Kent Catholic Schools’ Partnership has been awarded £2,053,894 for 6 projects to support the decarbonisation of St Simon Stock Catholic School, Our Lady of Hartley Catholic Primary School, Stella Maris Catholic Primary School, St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, St Gregory’s Catholic Primary School and More Park Catholic Primary School. Air source heat pumps will be installed in five of the schools and solar panels will be fitted at five of the schools. An electric boiler will be installed at Stella Maris Catholic Primary School. Energy efficiency measures will also be fitted across all six sites, including new heating pipework insulation, draught-proofing, roof insulation, building energy management systems, point-of-use electric water heaters, time switches, and LED lighting.

Magdalen College, Oxford

Magdalen College, Oxford has been awarded £549,579 to support the decarbonisation of 6 student accommodation buildings. Air source heat pumps will be installed in Old School House, Longwall Cottage, the Daubeny Building, Professor’s House, Kingsmill Cottage and 1 Cowley Place.

Maidstone Borough Council

Maidstone Borough Council has been awarded £3,126,536 to decarbonise Maidstone House and the Maidstone Link buildings, which are the bases of the council’s administrative offices. At both sites, gas boilers will be replaced with air source heat pumps and solar panels will be installed. A range of energy efficiency measures will also be installed across both buildings, including floor and external wall installation, double glazing and cooling system upgrades.

Medway NHS Foundation Trust

Medway NHS Foundation Trust has been awarded £25,886,516 to install heat decarbonisation and energy efficiency measures at Medway Maritime Hospital. Heat pumps will be installed in 11 buildings and solar panels will be installed across multiple buildings. Additionally, double glazing will be installed in three blocks.

New Forest District Council

New Forest District Council has been awarded £130,755 to replace existing fossil fuel boilers in their main council office building with air source heat pumps.

Oriel College, Oxford

Oriel College, Oxford has been awarded £552,143 to decarbonise 3 student accommodation halls: James Mellon Hall, Larmenier House and David Patterson House. The existing fossil fuel heating system in all buildings will be replaced with air source heat pumps.

Oxford Brookes University

Oxford Brookes University has been awarded £1,074,090 to install ground source heat pumps in in the John Henry Brookes Building energy centre, which provides heating in 6 buildings at their Gypsy Lane campus.

Oxford Diocesan Board of Education

Oxford Diocesan Board of Education has been awarded £792,075 to decarbonise St Mary’s and St Peter’s primary schools and the main building at Churchmead secondary school. Air source heat pumps will be installed in all schools. Cavity wall insulation will be installed at St Mary’s and St Peter’s primary schools while St Mary’s will also have hot water electric point-of-use heaters fitted.

Oxfordshire County Council

Oxfordshire County Council has been awarded £3,140,221 to decarbonise 26 buildings across their estate. These buildings include 7 fire stations, 10 libraries, 5 community centres and 4 other council buildings. The gas heating across the sites will be replaced with air source heat pumps and a ground source heat pump, and solar panels will be fitted on 12 of the buildings. A variety of energy efficiency measures including wall and loft insulation, dry wall lining, hot water taps and showers, double glazing, lighting controls and LED lighting will also be installed.

Reading Borough Council

Reading Borough Council has been awarded £1,229,169 to decarbonise the Hexagon Theatre. A ground source heat pump will be installed and solar panels will be fitted to produce renewable energy.

Reigate Learning Alliance, Surrey

Reigate Learning Alliance has been awarded £128,111 to upgrade the heating systems in two buildings at Reigate College. Air source heat pumps will be installed.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service has been awarded £927,845 to decarbonise 5 fire stations: Wokingham Road Fire Station, Newbury Fire Station, Langley Fire Station, Caversham Station Annex and Whitley Wood Fire Station. Air source heat pumps and solar panels will be installed at all sites, and energy efficiency will be improved with the installation of cavity wall and roof insulation, variable speed drives, building energy management systems upgrades and double glazing.

Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead

Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead has been awarded £5,412,420 to decarbonise Windsor Leisure Centre. The existing fossil fuel heating systems will be replaced by a ground source heat pump alongside solar panels and an air handling unit.

Royal Latin School, Buckinghamshire

The Royal Latin School in Buckinghamshire has been awarded £185,763 to replace the existing gas-fired boilers in their New Block building with air source heat pumps.

South Oxfordshire District Council

South Oxfordshire District Council has been awarded £1,490,475 to replace end-of-life fossil fuel heating systems at Didcot Wave Leisure Centre and Park Sports Centre. Air source heat pumps will be installed as well as solar panels and air handling units. Additionally, LED lighting will be fitted at Park Sports Centre.

Surrey County Council

Surrey County Council has been awarded £5,051,460 for three projects to support the decarbonisation of 19 sites, including 6 libraries, 4 nursing homes, 2 community centres, 5 schools, Guildford Fire Station, and the council’s headquarters in Woodhatch Place, Reigate. Air source heat pumps will be installed and a variety of energy efficiency improvements will be undertaken, including the fitting of centralised lighting control systems, dry wall lining, wall, roof and loft insulation, LED lighting, double glazing, draught proofing and secondary glazing.

Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council

Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council has been awarded £1,164,760 to install an air source heat pump at Larkfield swimming pool in Aylesford.

Trinity College, Oxford

Trinity College, Oxford has been awarded £134,874 to decarbonise the student accommodation building located on Rawlinson Road. Fossil fuel heating systems will be replaced with air source heat pumps. Additionally, loft insulation, draught proofing and double glazing will be fitted to improve the energy efficiency of the building.

University of Oxford

The University of Oxford has been awarded £1,859,508 to install air source heat pumps at the Richard Doll Building, which is home to the Nuffield Department of Population Health.

Watford Borough Council

Watford Borough Council has been awarded £892,502 to decarbonise Orbital Community Centre, Harebreaks Community Hub, and the Watford Palace Theatre. Air source heat pumps will be fitted at all sites and a variety of energy efficiency measures including cavity wall and loft insulation, air handling units and double glazing will be installed.

Waverley Borough Council

Waverley Borough Council has been awarded £1,545,000 to support the decarbonisation of Farnham Leisure Centre. End-of-life gas boilers will be replaced with air source heat pumps.

West Oxfordshire District Council

West Oxfordshire District Council has been awarded £1,649,013 to decarbonise Windrush Leisure Centre in Witney. End-of-life gas boilers will be replaced with air source heat pumps, and solar panels will be installed to produce renewable electricity. Heating pipework insulation will also be installed to improve the energy efficiency of the building.

Worthing Borough Council

Worthing Borough Council has been awarded £5,636,323 to connect the Grade II listed Pavilion Theatre, Worthing Museum, and Splashpoint Leisure Centre to the Worthing Heat Network. Solar panels, secondary glazing, draught proofing, loft insulation and time switches will also be fitted across the sites.

South West

Aspire Academy Trust, Cornwall

Aspire Academy Trust has been awarded £201,118 to decarbonise Mount Hawke Academy in Cornwall. End-of-life oil boilers will be replaced with air source heat pumps, and solar panels will be fitted to provide renewable energy. Energy efficiency improvements will be made through new roof insulation and an upgrade to the building energy management system.

Bristol City Council

Bristol City Council has been awarded £344,733 to decarbonise Vowell Close and Witch Hazel Children’s Homes, as well as Symes House and Ridingleaze House, both of which provide social welfare services to the local community. Air source heat pumps will be installed in all buildings and the energy efficiency of the sites will be improved through the installation of cavity wall and loft insulation and double glazing.

Cornwall Council

Cornwall Council has been awarded £131,006 to decarbonise the Skills Building and main teaching building at Falmouth Adult Education Centre. Air source heat pumps will be installed in both buildings. Building energy management systems, secondary glazing, loft insulation and LED lighting will also be fitted to improve the energy efficiency of both buildings.

Cornwall Education Learning Trust

Cornwall Education Learning Trust has been awarded £79,789 to support the decarbonisation of Luxulyan Primary School and the Trust’s Atlantic Centre office building. Air source heat pumps will be installed at both buildings and solar panels will be fitted at the Atlantic Centre. Cavity wall insulation, variable speed drives, LED lighting and a new building energy management system will also be installed to improve energy efficiency across the sites.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service has been awarded £325,090 to support the decarbonisation of Greenbank and Middlemoor fire stations. Air source heat pumps and solar panels will be installed at both sites. The energy efficiency of the fire stations will also be improved through the installation of more efficient hot water taps and showers, variable speed drives, building energy management systems upgrades, lighting controls and LED lighting.

Dorset Police

Dorset Police has been awarded £356,772 to decarbonise the Police Firing Range at their Winfrith headquarters. The existing heating systems will be replaced with both an air source heat pump and a water source heat pump.

Gloucester Diocesan Board of Education

Gloucester Diocesan Board of Education has been awarded £220,104 to decarbonise Ampney Crucis Primary School and Cranham Primary School. End-of-life oil boilers in both schools will be replaced with air source heat pumps.

Gloucestershire Constabulary

Gloucestershire Constabulary has been awarded £892,778 to decarbonise five police stations in Cirencester, Dursley, Lydney, Hucclecote and Gloucester South. Air source heat pumps will be installed at all police stations. In addition, cavity wall insulation will be fitted at Dursley Police Station.

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust has been awarded £1,121,880 to replace gas-fired boilers at Charlton Lane Hospital in Cheltenham with air source and water source heat pumps.

Mid Devon District Council

Mid Devon District Council has been awarded £277,789 to decarbonise Culm Valley Leisure Centre. An air source heat pump be installed, and solar panels will also be fitted to produce renewable energy. In addition, the ventilation system and building energy management system will be upgraded and new LED lighting will be installed to improve the energy efficiency of the centre.

North Bristol NHS Trust

North Bristol NHS Trust has been awarded £7,293,707 to decarbonise the Pathology, Learning and Research, and two other buildings at Southmead Hospital. The end-of-life heating systems will be replaced with air source and water source heat pumps.

North Somerset Council

North Somerset Council has been awarded £2,344,518 to decarbonise Hutton Moor Leisure Centre in Weston-Super-Mare. The existing gas boilers will be replaced with air source heat pumps.

Plymouth City Council

Plymouth City Council has been awarded £108,353 to decarbonise Harewood House, a community centre. The end-of-life gas-fired boilers will be replaced with air source heat pumps, and solar panels will be fitted to provide renewable energy. In addition, loft insulation and LED lighting will be installed to improve energy efficiency.

Police and Crime Commissioner for Avon and Somerset

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Avon and Somerset has been awarded £46,014 to replace an old gas-fired boiler at their police station in Chard with air source heat pumps.

Queen’s Park Infant Academy, Dorset

Queen’s Park Infant Academy in Dorset has been awarded £441,235 to decarbonise their school building. The existing gas fired boilers will be replaced with an air source heat pump, and a point-of-use electric water heater will be fitted.

Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust

Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust has been awarded £21,639,542 to decarbonise 3 buildings at the Royal United Hospital in Bath. Air source heat pumps will be installed in all buildings and the energy efficiency of the sites will be improved with the installation of wall, loft and roof insulation, high efficiency motors, double glazing, LED lighting, building energy management system upgrades and heating pipework improvements.

Salisbury Board of Education

Salisbury Board of Education has been awarded £140,366 for two projects to replace oil-fired boilers at Coombe Bissett Primary School and Bourton St George’s Primary School with air source heat pumps.

South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust

South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust has been awarded £321,408 to decarbonise two of its ambulance stations: North Bristol Operations Centre and Taunton Ambulance Station. Gas-fired boilers will be replaced with air source heat pumps at both sites and new pipework insulation will also be installed.

Ted Wragg Multi Academy, Plymouth

The Ted Wragg Multi Academy has been awarded £674,275 to install air and water source heat pumps at All Saints Church of England Academy in Plymouth. A new building energy management system will also be installed to improve the energy efficiency of the school.

Torquay Boys’ Grammar School, Devon

Torquay Boys’ Grammar School, Devon has been awarded £1,824,00 to decarbonise its main school building and its sports hall. Water source and air source heat pumps and solar panels will be installed. New building energy management systems will also be fitted to improve the overall energy efficiency of the school.

University of Gloucestershire

University of Gloucestershire has been awarded £602,480 to upgrade two buildings at their Oxstalls Campus. The existing gas boilers in the Sport Science and Learning Centre buildings will be replaced with air source heat pumps.

University of Plymouth

University of Plymouth has been awarded £978,094 to support the decarbonisation of the university library located on the main campus. Air source heat pumps will be installed and solar panels will be fitted to produce renewable energy. LED lighting and a new heat recovery system will also be installed.

Weston College, Weston-super-Mare

Weston College in Weston-super-Mare has been awarded £2,842,857 to decarbonise 5 buildings across 3 campus sites. The existing end-of-life gas boilers in all 5 buildings will be replaced with air source heat pumps, and solar panels will be installed on the roof of one building to provide renewable energy. The energy efficiency of the college will be improved overall through the installation of double glazing, roof insulation and new building energy management systems.

Greater London

Barking and Dagenham College

Barking and Dagenham College has been awarded £1,488,696 to support the decarbonisation of five buildings at their Rush Green Campus. Air source heat pumps will be installed in all buildings, and solar panels will be installed on the roof of one of the campus buildings. In addition, wall insulation and the building energy management system will be upgraded to optimise energy consumption.

Bridge Academy Trust, Islington

Bridge Academy Trust has been awarded £879,428 to replace the end-of-life gas boiler at The Bridge Primary School in Islington with air source heat pumps. In addition, the building energy management system will be upgraded.

Croydon College

Croydon College has been awarded £245,099 to support the decarbonisation of the Sport and Performance Centre at Coulsdon Sixth Form College. An air source heat pump and solar panels will be installed. Energy efficiency will be improved with the installation of heating pipework insulation, a new cooling control system, high efficiency motors and building energy management system upgrades.

Greater London Authority

Greater London Authority has been awarded £300,000 to decarbonise their Grade II listed building on 639 High Road in Tottenham, which is currently being used as a community enterprise centre to provide affordable workspace for small and emerging local businesses. Air source heat pumps and solar panels will be installed. Roof insulation, dry walling and secondary glazing will be also installed to improve the energy efficiency of the building.

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust has been awarded £41,825,807 for two projects to support the decarbonisation of 2 buildings at Charing Cross Hospital and five buildings at Hammersmith Hospital. Heat pumps will be installed across all sites, and solar panels will be fitted on two buildings to produce renewable energy. The energy efficiency across the sites will also be improved with the installation of cavity wall insulation and double glazing.

London Borough of Camden

London Borough of Camden has been awarded £831,615 for three projects to support the decarbonisation of Talacre Community Sports Centre, Primrose Hill Primary School and the Spectrum Centre, a facility which provides support and shelter to vulnerable people in the borough. Air source heat pumps will be installed across all sites and solar panels will be fitted at the Talacre Community Sports Centre. The energy efficiency of the sites will be improved through various works, including the installation of wall and roof insulation, new heating emitters, double glazing, secondary glazing and LED lighting.

London Borough of Ealing

London Borough of Ealing has been awarded £2,235,368 to decarbonise Castlebar Primary School, North Primary School, Hobbayne Primary School and Blair Peach Primary School. Air source and water source heat pumps will be installed and the incoming electricity supply will be upgraded at all schools.

London Borough of Hackney

London Borough of Hackney has been awarded £12,882,934 for two projects to decarbonise 10 schools, 2 community centres, a leisure centre, a nursing home and the Grade II listed Clissold House. The existing heating systems across the sites will be replaced by air source and water source heat pumps.

London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham

London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham has been awarded £5,376,849 for two projects to decarbonise four schools, three leisure centres, two libraries, two residential nursing homes and hostels, four community service buildings and a storage depot. Air source heat pumps will be installed across all sites, and draught proofing, loft insulation and electrical supply upgrade works will also be carried out to improve the energy efficiency across all buildings.

London Borough of Islington

London Borough of Islington has been awarded £3,515,932 to decarbonise Isledon Road Day Centre, North Library, a residential care home and 8 primary schools. Air source heat pumps will be installed across all sites and solar panels will be installed at two of the schools as well as Islington North Library and Isledon Road Day Centre.  A range of energy efficiency measures will also be installed across the buildings, including building energy management system upgrades, new high efficiency motors, LED lighting, heating pipework insulation, double glazing, draught proofing and loft insulation.

London Borough of Lewisham

London Borough of Lewisham has been awarded £197,604 to replace fossil fuel heating systems in Dalmain Primary School with an air source heat pump and an electric heater. Additionally, energy efficiency will be improved through the installation of loft and roof insulation and draught proofing.

London Borough of Newham

London Borough of Newham has been awarded £204,870 to decarbonise the Grade II listed Canning Town Old Library which is currently being transformed into a new heritage centre for the residents of Newham.  An air source heat pump will be installed, and the energy efficiency of the building will be improved through the installation of roof insulation, double glazing, and a heat recovery system.

London Fire Brigade

London Fire Brigade has been awarded £2,092,694 to support the decarbonisation of nine fire stations across London: Erith Fire Station; Greenwich Fire Station; Millwall Fire Station; Peckham Fire Station; Stanmore Fire Station; Stoke Newington Fire Station; Tottenham Fire Station; Willesden Fire Station and Woodside Fire Station. Air source heat pumps will be installed at all sites and solar panels fitted at 5 fire stations. A variety of energy efficiency improvements will also be fitted throughout the stations to improve their overall energy efficiency, including new electric heaters, cavity wall and loft insulation, heating pipework insulation, variable speed drives, lighting controls, LED lighting and double glazing.

London School of Economics and Political Science

London School of Economics and Political Science has been awarded £2,697,890 to decarbonise 2 campus buildings: Connaught House and the Lionel Robbins building. Air source heat pumps, solar panels, LED lighting and new lighting controls will be installed in both buildings.

London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine

London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine has been awarded £249,857 to decarbonise their new teaching and learning facility for postgraduate students at Tavistock Place. An air source heat pump will be installed, and the energy efficiency of the facility will be improved through the installation of high efficiency motors, energy efficient chillers, wall insulation, building energy management system upgrades and double glazing.

Metropolitan Police Service

Metropolitan Police Service has been awarded £5,722,393 for two projects to support the decarbonisation of 6 police stations: Wapping Police Station, Chingford Police Station, Croydon Police Station, Wandsworth Police Station, Barkingside Police Station and a Metropolitan Police Service site at Warspite Road. Air source heat pumps will be installed at all sites and solar panels fitted at two stations. Chingford Police Station will also install a new point-of-use electric heater. New double glazing and cavity and roof insulation will be fitted across the buildings to improve their overall energy efficiency.  

New City College Group

New City College Group has been awarded £4,638,168 to install air source heat pumps at New City College, at the Epping Forest Campus and Ardleigh Green Campus buildings.

Royal Air Force Museum

Royal Air Force Museum has been awarded £2,412,295 to replace the ageing gas-fired heating system at the Museum’s Grade II listed Hangars and the Colonnade building, which is used as a visitor space. Air source and water source heat pumps will be installed and solar panels will be fitted to generate renewable energy. New roof insulation will also be installed.

Royal Borough of Greenwich

Royal Borough of Greenwich has been awarded £973,267 to support the decarbonisation of 3 primary schools: Heronsgate Primary School, Eltham Hill School and Waterside Primary School. Air source heat pumps will be installed at each school and the overall energy efficiency of each site will be improved through new draught proofing insulation.

Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea

Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has been awarded £7,384,348 for two projects to support the decarbonisation of Fox Primary School, Kensington Aldridge Academy, Park Walk Primary School, St Thomas Church of Egland Primary School, St Charles Roman Catholic Primary School, St Thomas CE Primary School, St Quintin Children’s Centre and Kensington Leisure Centre. The existing fossil fuel heating systems at all sites will be replaced with air source heat pumps and water source heat pumps, and the incoming electricity supply at several sites will be upgraded.

Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew

Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew has been awarded £3,301,173 to decarbonise the Stable Yard boiler house, which feeds the Grade I listed Temperate House, the world’s largest surviving Victorian glasshouse, and the Davies Exploration House. Air source heat pumps will be installed and the energy efficiency of the building will be improved through the installation of time switches and a new building energy management system.

Royal Veterinary College

Royal Veterinary College has been awarded £2,835,115 to support the decarbonisation of 8 buildings at their Hawkshead campus. The existing fossil fuel boilers will be replaced with air source heat pumps, and energy efficiency across the sites will be improved with cavity wall and loft insulation as well as the fitting of double glazing.

Transport for London

Transport For London has been awarded £16,337,001 for two projects to decarbonise six office buildings, as well as the Neasden London Underground Train Depot and their signalling office at Finchley Park. Ageing fossil fuel heating systems will be replaced with air source heat pumps and solar panels. A variety of energy efficiency measures such as dry wall lining, loft and cavity wall insulation, secondary glazing, double glazing, lighting controls and LED lighting will also be installed across the sites.

University of Greenwich

The University of Greenwich has been awarded £2,458,750 for three projects to decarbonise the Mary Seacole Building and three Grade II listed buildings. The onsite heat pump at the Mary Seacole building will be connected to a district heating system and air source heat pumps will be installed in other buildings across the university. The energy efficiency across all sites will be improved with the installation of roof insulation, electric heaters, and secondary and double glazing.

University of the Arts, London

University of the Arts, London has been awarded £1,945,440 to support the decarbonisation of the Grade II listed Lime Grove, the main teaching building for the London College of Fashion. An air source heat pump will replace old gas-fired boilers and solar panels will be fitted on the roof of the building. A variety of energy efficiency improvements will also be installed, including draught proofing, an air handling unit, roof, wall and loft insulation, smart meters, an energy efficient convection-oven, ventilation presence controls, double glazing, and LED lighting.

University of West London

The University of West London has been awarded £1,152,667 to decarbonise 6 buildings across its Ruskin College campus, including the main academic teaching block, The Rookery Teaching Building, the Beatrice Webb Accommodation Block and Smith Office Block. Air source heat pumps will be installed in all buildings. Cavity wall and loft insulation and draught proofing will be fitted across all sites.

Victoria & Albert Museum

The Victoria & Albert Museum has been awarded £765,674 to install air source heat pumps at the Young V&A museum. The heating controls, heating pipework and cooling control systems will also be upgraded.

Westminster City Council

Westminster City Council has been awarded £2,169,725 to support the decarbonisation of Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee School, Edward Wilson Primary School, Robinsfield Infant School, Maida Vale Library, Westminster Central Reference Library, Stowe Youth Centre and The Westbourne Green Surgery. Air source heat pumps will be installed in all buildings. Heating pipework insulation, loft insulation, high efficiency motors, LED lighting and building energy management systems will also be fitted to improve the overall energy efficiency of all buildings.

Across regions

Department for Work and Pensions

Department for Work and Pensions has been awarded £310,721 to decarbonise four office buildings across the country. Air source heat pumps and solar panels will be installed across sites in Alton, Cupar, Littlehampton and Oswestry, while the energy efficiency of the sites will be improved through the installation of roof and cavity wall insulation, double glazing, new building energy management systems, a point-of-use hot water system and a new cooling system.

The Department for Work and Pensions is based in Greater London and will invest funding at sites across the UK.

Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency

Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency has been awarded £652,435 to decarbonise 3 multi-purpose test centres in Wakefield, Bristol and Taunton, as well as 2 goods vehicle test stations in Gillingham and Chadderton. Air source heat pumps, point-of-use electric heaters and electric panel heaters will be installed.

The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency is based in Wales and will invest funding at sites across the UK.

Elliot Foundation Academies Trust

The Elliot Foundation Academies Trust has been awarded £516,340 to replace the existing fossil fuel heating systems at Highlees Primary School in Peterborough and Chandos Primary School in Birmingham. Air source and water source heat pumps will be installed, and solar panels and cavity wall insulation will be fitted in both schools. Additionally, an electric boiler will be installed at Chandos Primary School.

Ministry of Justice

The Ministry of Justice has been awarded £6,703,405 for three projects to support the decarbonisation His Majesty’s Prison Featherstone in Staffordshire, a probation centre in Tulse Hill, London, and His Majesty’s Prison Prescoed in Wales. Air source heat pumps will be installed at all sites, while the energy efficiency of each location will be improved through various measures the installation of loft insulation, heating pipework insulation and flow restrictors, smart metering and a building energy management system upgrade.

The Ministry of Justice is based in Greater London and will invest funding at multiple sites across the UK.

River Learning Trust

River Learning Trust has been awarded £1,771,854 to support the decarbonisation of Seven Fields Primary School, Madley Brook Primary School, Tower Hill Primary School and Cherwell Secondary School. Air source heat pumps will be installed at all schools, while building energy management systems will be upgraded at Tower Hill Primary School, Seven Fields Primary School and Cherwell Secondary School. Draught proofing and pipework insulation will be installed at Tower Hill Primary School and double glazing will be fitted at Cherwell Secondary School.

Star Academies

Star Academies has been awarded £1,217,388 to decarbonise Tauheedul Girls School in Blackburn and Thornbury Primary School in Bradford. Air source heat pumps and solar panels will be installed at both schools and cavity wall insulation will be fitted at Tauheedul Girls School.
