This Notice advises all shipowners, shipbuilders, masters, certifying authorities and surveyors of requirements imposed by the Merchant Shipping (Fire Protection) Regulations 2023 (SI 2023/568) (“the 2023 Regulations”) for ships constructed before 1st July 2002, and by the Merchant Shipping (Fire Protection: Small Ships) Regulations 1998 (SI 1998/1011) (“the Small Ships Regulations”) for all ships to which those Regulations apply.
