Published 19 January 2017

The Environment Agency gives notice that it proposes to carry out improvement work to the flood defences on Currypool flow gauging station, Currypool Stream, Spaxton, Bridgwater TA5 2NH (NGR ST22145 38184).

The proposed improvement work will involve the realignment of the left bank revetment just upstream of the weir, and the design and build of repairs to failing mortared stone bed and banks downstream of the concrete weir structure to protect against scour.

The Environment Agency considers that the improvement works are not likely to have significant effects on the environment and does not intend to prepare an environmental statement in respect of them. The works information is available for review by appointment with the project manager.

Any person wishing to make representations in relation to the likely environmental effects of the proposed improvement works should do so, in writing, within 28 days of the date of publication of this notice.
