Ms Sian Price
Biography
Sian Price was appointed Her Majesty’s British High Commissioner to the Republic of Botswana and UK Special Representative to SADC in February 2020. Prior to this appointment, she served in the British High Commission, Pretoria. Sian is a career diplomat who has worked for the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office since 2000. Her career to date has been divided between the FCDO in London and three overseas postings, in South Africa, Zambia and Bangladesh.
British High Commissioner to Botswana and UK Representative to the Southern Africa Development Community
The High Commissioner is the UK government’s representative in a Commonwealth nation. They are responsible for the direction and work of the High Commission and its Deputy High Commissions and/or Consulates, including political work, trade and investment, press and cultural relations, and visa and consular services.
