Armed Forces support Comic Relief
Armed Forces personnel across the country have been getting into the spirit of Comic Relief.

The Royal Marines Commando Training Centre Band in fancy dress
Sergeant Jason Woollett and Corporal Rhys Holt, chefs from the Catering Squadron at RAF Marham, took a bath in cold baked beans for Comic Relief.
Customers to the Junior Ranks Mess at lunchtime paid £1 for a cup of cold beans, which they then poured over the heads of the waiting chefs.
The record for the day was the £12 donation for the 12 cups made by Sergeant Woollett’s fiancée!
The pair have so far raised over £200 and are still counting.

Sergeant Woollett said:
Thank you to everyone who came and supported our fundraiser; it’s ‘bean’ a great success and will benefit a very worthwhile cause.
Meanwhile, musical Royal Marines paraded around their Devon base as comic strip characters in aid of the charity.
35 members of the Royal Marines Commando Training Centre Band donned a variety of fancy dress outfits to march around the camp in the guise of heroes and villains.

They were led by Drum Major Gavin Moxworthy dressed as Spiderman. Other outfits on display included Lara Croft, the Hunchback of Notre Dame, Rambo, Zorro, Batman, Captain America and 3 Ninja Mutant Turtles.
Bandmaster Jonny Morrish, alias Zorro, said:
We just wanted to create a little bit of fun and light entertainment for the camp and raise some money for Comic Relief. Plus performing in fancy dress was a welcome change from our normal uniforms.
