How much it costs

Any fees are payable to the Royal Society for Chemistry as part of obtaining the required Mastership in Chemical Analysis (MChemA).

What you’ll need to apply

To become a qualified Public Analyst in the UK you must have a Mastership in Chemical Analysis (MChemA) awarded by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC).

Individuals with the MChemA are required to be appointed by a local authority before they can practice as a Public Analyst.
